Medicaid Continuous Enrollment Provision Ends March 31, 2023
At the beginning of the pandemic, Congress enacted the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA), which required Medicaid programs to keep people continuously enrolled through the end of the month in which the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE) ends. With the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, that was signed into law on December 29, 2022, Congress set the continuous enrollment provision to end as of March 31, 2023. Medicaid members will need to take steps to ensure they are still eligible.
