An 8-year-old full of spirit and tenacity, Sheree was struggling in school. When her vision was screened by HEAL, a previously unidentified vision deficiency was discovered. Learning that she needed further evaluation was transformative! She was connected with an eye doctor, and now has her own pair of glasses!

The first time Sheree put the glasses on, the whole class went silent, a rare occurrence, while they waited to see her reaction. This child who previously struggled focusing and communicating to others what she was experiencing is now reading letters from across the room!

Her eyes light up as she explores the world in a way that is completely new to her.
