EVALUATION
To fully test the strength of the Coordinated Care For The Whole Child™ program, HEAL piloted its innovative model and Healthy Networks Design And Reach conducted an independent, evidence-based evaluation of the program.
The evaluation results showed that HEAL’s interventions led to statistically significant school-wide improvements in student GPA, out-of-school suspensions, and behavioral problems within the school.
The program also demonstrated statistically significant decreases in health inequalities that interfere with learning in at-risk students. When HEAL began the evaluation of its Coordinated Care For The Whole Child™ program, nearly 42% of students failed their vision screening. After three years, vision failures were reduced to 17%.
